KRACHT Gear Pump KFF 2.5... 112 series
Detail The German KRACHT KF-F type transfer pump was developed specifically for use with fuels, especially Marine fuels. These need to be strictly considered, especially in terms of lubricity. The important ones are the ones that are low in sulfur. The lubricity of diesel fuel (MGO/DMA) is very low and cannot be determined by viscosity. There are special ways to prevent mining tribological properties. The ISO 12156 HFRR test is a recognized method for measuring diesel fuel lubricity. The characteristic value determined using this method is called the wear mark diameter (WSD) and increases with decreasing lubricity. This characteristic value is specified by the fuel manufacturer and may be included to assess the stability of the component in the following situations. The KF-F fuel pump is durable and reaches a WSD value of 520 µm, which is small lubricity for MGO and DMA according to ISO 8217. In addition, these pumps show very good efficiency, especially at high speeds. KF-F pumps can pump fuel with unrestricted low sulfur content and conform to ISO 8217's MGO/DMA (gas oil) (see Operating Characteristics). The following points should be noted for the direction of rotation: • When looking at the end of the pump shaft, if the shaft is rotating clockwise, the direction of the pump is left to right. • When looking at the pump shaft end, if the shaft is rotating counterclockwise, the direction of the pump is from right to left.
